Jeff, Inga, and Silas Visit 2013

Jeff and Inga came from California to New York for Idrees's wedding, and while they were here they came all the way to Long Island to visit us. It was our first time meeting Silas who's now 7 months old, and their first time meeting James. And of course, most entertainingly, Silas and James got to meet and play with each other.

Lukas came over too so he could hang out with them while they were in town. Sarah was out of town so she missed the baby fun. (Sorry Sarah!) We ordered some pizza and drank copious amounts of beer and wine.

Silas was at that just-about-to-crawl stage where he gets into position and rocks back and forth before sliding back on to his tummy. James tried to help motivate him by placing a wanted stuffed animal just close enough to be interesting. But James kept changing his mind...maybe he wanted to just give the little pig to Silas, maybe he didn't want to share it at all. Suffice to say, Silas didn't start crawling today.

Look at this adorable guy teething

James really enjoyed Silas's company. I know this because the next day when he got up he ran around the house yelling, "Baby, where are you?" When I told him that the baby had gone home yesterday, James respond, "Bye- bye, baby!" Aw.
