Omaha MNHS Swim Class- Spring 2019

The kids finished up their second swimming class in Omaha! James was promoted from level 3 to level 4 this time, but he won't be taking any swimming classes this summer because his coding camp conflicts with swimming. Miranda will be in level 2 this summer. These photos are actually from their birthday last week, not from the last class this weekend.

Omaha MNHS Swim Class 2018

The kids both started and 8-week swim class this weekend at the local high school. The high school has an amazing Olympic size pool which will be amazing if the kids actually pick swimming as their high school sport one day. James loved the class! Sadly, Miranda did not like it as much as her Long Island Swim class. She said she had to go underwater too much. :( Miranda is starting from Level 1, and James is starting at Level 3.

Miranda Swim Update 2018

Miranda went up a level in Swim Class from Sammy Starfish to Timmy Tadpole. Basically, that means that she tested that she could get out if she fell into a pool. Woo! Go, Miranda!

Miranda took a Daddy-and-me swim class 2 years ago but hated every minute of it, so we gave her a year off to forget, and signed her up for a different place this year. One of the things she didn't like about the other class was that it was outdoors and very cold even in July. Safety Swim is very warm. The first class was great!

James's Swim Class Part II 2017

Since James has been invited to a lot of pool parties, we got him some additional swimming lessons so he'd be up to a solid not-drowning level. He loved the classes so much and his swimming is pretty good now!

James's favorite sport is swimming currently. He's was very excited to start again this summer. Session 1 was July 3-14, but he's still not all the way there so we're looking into signing him up for more classes.

Kindergarten Birthday Parties 2017

Last week, James had two birthday parties. On Saturday we celebrated Nolan's birthday at Saf-T-Swim. On Sunday we celebrated Vince's birthday at Spins Gymnastics.

We had a whirlwind tour in NoVa and DC and I was going to do one long post but it will never happen. After 7 hours of driving with three very unhappy Irish people (see what I did there)... we met up with Jaime at her apartment and basically jumped right in her pool. Thank you Jaime! Then we all made our way to Janice's for the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics and Thai food.
