Bob Visit 2018

We visited Bob on Saturday. He had some Christmas gifts for the kids and then he introduced us to the world of virtual reality. Wooo! VR.

Bob Visits- November 2017

We went to James's soccer game, played with the kids at home, ate Indian for dinner, and then drank a lot after the kids went to bed. Oh and Bob shaved his beard.

Richard, Elaine, and Griffin Visit Saturday 2017

My uncle Richard, aunt Elaine, and cousin Griffin visited on Saturday. Griffin is now attending Sarah Lawrence so Richard and Elaine were able to visit him at school in Bronxville and then drive up. Mom was more tired during the visit than she's been and was pretty quiet, then finally she said goodbye and excused herself to rest in bed.

Amparo and Jen Visit 2017

My godmother, Amparo, and her daughter, Jen, whom I like to pretend is my godsister, visited last weekend. They're awesome. Ampy brought delicious arroz con pollo too.

Mother's Day in NJ 2017

For Mother's Day we visited my mom and Bob and went to lunch at Mighty Quinn's. The kids always make eating out hectic but it was the first time we all went out on Mother's Day so worth the try- and the food was yummy.

Miranda's 3rd and James's 6th Birthday 2017

For James and Miranda's birthday, Grandma, Nana, and Bob came over last weekend. We had pizza, cake, and lots of presents from the above but also from Great-grandma, Great Aunt Nesie and Great Uncle Steve, Great Aunt Mary, and Great Uncle Dickie, and Aunt Janice. Nana and Bob visited this weekend. The kids were super excited when they heard they were coming. We had a really nice time and gorged ourselves on Chinese food. Yum!

Christmas in Long Island 2016

Santa came for the sixth year in a row!!! Lots of presents and cookies gone! James woke up at 6:45 AM and instead of following the plan to come get me, Kevin and Miranda, he ran back and forth to the tree like a little crazy person. He was initially overwhelmed because he bought presents for Miranda, Kevin, and me at his school holiday fair and he wanted to put them under the tree before we got up. Haha. His running steps alerted us that he was up and we- GASP- woke up Miranda. Bob and Nana emerged to join us too.

This year, Miranda is 2.5 years old and James is 5.5 years old

Finally we got James opening his stuff, and Miranda cautiously opened one thing and announced she didn't want to open anything else. She tried to give away her presents to the rest of us. No, neither of my kids ever act like this, they were just overwhelmed by the excitement. It was funny and weird.

The only thing James asked Santa for this year: a jack-in-the-box.
