Cape Cod- September 2016

Nesie and Steve hosted a little brunch at their place on Sunday so that the family could get together while we were in town. We also all took the opportunity to celebrate Mary's 59th birthday.

Auntie Dates! September 2016

While Ruth, Kathy, and I were at Jenny's shower, Aunt Nesie and Aunt Mary had little dates with the kids. Aunt Nesie and Uncle Steve took James to mini golf for the first time and reported that he loved it. They also took him to an especially yummy lunch afterwards.

Meanwhile, Aunt Mary and Kevin took James to the beach. I think the beach is Miranda's favorite place on earth, and she especially enjoys the freedom of the little pools of lowtide at Bayview Beach.

Grandma is a hero too, and after the shower she took the kinds to the pond while Kevin and I had a few quick drinks.

Cape Cod - June 2016

We went to the Cape for a long weekend with two goals in mind- celebrate Dave's 75th, and catch cousin Katie before she headed back from her vacation on the Cape. To that end, we rushed there Friday after James's last day of school. We had steak on the grill with Katie, her boyfriend Mike, cousin Chris, Grandma Kathy, Great-grandma Ruth at Aunt Nesie's house. Aunt Nesie wasn't there yet.

Sunday we went to Bayview Beach (the resident's side of Mayflower Beach) with Aunt Mary and Grandma Kathy. It was low tide when we got there and the kids had so much fun splashing around in a low tide puddle. Until the tide came in, and took away the beach.

Cape Cod- July 2013

We got to the Cape Thursday night so we could enjoy the day on Friday. Kevin and I had a little time to ourselves in the morning, so we went to the beach really early. While we were enjoying some freedom, James was swimming in a posh new pool that Grandma got him.

The beach was pretty busy for a Friday morning. We left a bit before lunchtime to get some lobster rolls at one of Kevin's favorite places, Sesuit Harbor. Later in the afternoon, we went to my favorite ice cream place, Lil' Caboose. It was super warm on the Cape, in the 90s, but we had a really nice morning.

We got back after James had taken his nap, and we were excited to all go down to the pond together. James loves the water, and he loved playing at Jones Beach two weeks ago, and I had so much fun swimming with him in Follins Pond last summer.
