Andrew Visits Nebraska 2018

Kevin's brother Andrew came to visit us in Omaha before moving back to Japan.

We got a babysitter, had dinner at El Basha, and went to a Creighton game!

We got some burgers Omaha Tap House, and then walked it off on the West Papio Trail.

Brady Visits Nebraska 2018

Brady visited! We started his Omaha tour de force with Johnny's Cafe and some drinks at Scriptown in Blackstone. Saturday the guys went to a Creighton game, drinks at Zipline, and a bit of a bar crawl around Benson. Too much fun!

Ash and Janice Visit Nebraska 2018

Ash and Janice came to visit me in Nebraska! I was so excited. Sadly for them, it was really cold when they were here, but we still made the best of it. Ash arrived early on Saturday so we had time to do a bunch of sightseeing she had on her list. We walked around UNO, checked out the outside of Berkshire Hathaway, and then drove to Iowa to visit the Squirrel Cage Jail.

After returning from Iowa, we went to the Old Market area to have lunch and walk around shops. And then we took the necessary photos on Bob the Bridge even though it was so cold! So cold!

Janice arrived in the evening and we picked her up at the airport and took her straight to dinner in the Benson neighborhood. We had a sushi dinner at Yoshimoto and dessert at Ted & Wally's Ultra-Premium Homemade Ice Cream. We met up with Kevin for drinks at Krug Park.

We were slow in leaving the house on Sunday, but eventually, we felt brave enough to face the cold. We took a million cheesy photos at my favorite Pioneer Courage and Spirit of Nebraska's Wilderness Sculpture Parks. Then we checked out the Heartland of America Park, which admittedly is better in the summer when the fountain is on. Janice and Ash will have to come back during warm weather!

It was time to warm up so we had fancy drinks at Berry and Rye in Old Market. Then we went to Blackstone neighborhood for dinner at Corkscrew Wine & Cheese and dessert at Coneflower Creamery.

Grandma Visits Nebraska 2018

Grandma Kathy was our first visitor in Omaha! Our guestroom was all ready for her complete with decorations and a little TV hooked up. We were excited to show Grandma our house and the city of Omaha. Grandma also helped us clean out the huge garden the previous owners left us, and she made a delicious tomato sauce from our millions of tomatoes for her spaghetti and meatballs.

Sunday we stayed in, cleaned up the garden, and Grandma cooked the most delicious meatballs for us. Monday we went out to brunch.
