Halloween 2018

Halloween was huge this year. The kids were invited to wear their costumes to ballet and Gymnastics earlier this week (James's costume didn't work for flips but his class was pretty fun). Then yesterday, Miranda had a preschool storytime with crafts and parade at James's elementary school; James had a parade and a treats-and-craft party at his school; Miranda had her treats and crafts party first followed by a parade at her school; then I went back to pick up James and take the kids trick-or-treating. It was nuts!

Kids' Halloween Parties 2017

Miranda's nursery school Halloween party was on Monday. She arrived a little late and missed some jams, but enjoyed seeing her friends in costume, having a snack, taking pictures, and picking up a big bag of treats.

James's 1st grade Halloween party was Tuesday. We did two craft projects (candle holder, pumpkin decorating), played Bingo, and read Halloween books. The kids also had a parade when the parents weren't there.

James's Pre-K Halloween Party 2015

James doesn't go to school on Fridays this semester, but he was invited to come and celebrate at the parade and party. We got there around the time of the parade, and his classmates were so excited to see him they all shouted "Hi James! James is here!" when we arrived. Oh my gosh, I love these sweet kids in his class.

They started out with playing different games in the hallway and trick-or-treating at the other classrooms. (Adorable.)

After that they killed a little time before the parade was scheduled to begin reading a Halloween book.

At last! Parade time! There were a bunch of parents waiting outside. (Like I suppose we were supposed to do- whoops!) The parade consisted of the 3- and 4-year-olds walking around a little piece of grass approximately a million times. They enjoyed this. They two-year-olds were invited to sit outside and watch. The under-twos were kept inside because like Miranda, they cannot be trusted.

Then it was time for the big party! The parents brought in a ton of treats, and because they're little kids instead of serving themselves they just all got one of everything. Can you say SUGAR CRASH? Haha. The day before Halloween, mind you!

Miranda's Mommy n' Me Halloween Party 2015

I recently wrote about how Miranda has been in Mommy n' Me classes for two months. Last week, our Mommy n' Me class had a Halloween party! So fun and cute that I dragged my feet a little leaving the party.

Just when the kids started getting used to the class, we made it weird again by putting them in costumes. This little girl Olivia had this hilarious reaction to Miranda's bee costume and kept petting her. Miranda was like, "What?"

The kids especially loved the party treats. Miranda got a big sugar cookie and apple juice all to herself. It was like sugar heaven for her.
