Memorial Day at Omaha Storm Chasers 2019

Kevin thought it would be fun to take the family to the Omaha Storm Chasers minor league baseball game at Werner Center to celebrate Memorial Day. Ha ha! We all lasted like 15 minutes before the kids begged to go over to the kids' playground.

Nick Visits Nebraska 2019

UVA Championship 2019

We watched the UVA game with the UVA Alumni group in Omaha- isn't it wonderful that that's a thing?- and we won!! Woooooo!

Denver, CO 2019

We stayed at an Airbnb in Denver and enjoyed walking around Denver each day of our trip. We had a bunch of delicious meals and some ice cream and played at the park near the Airbnb every day. We also visited the Tattered Cover bookstore.

We also went hiking west of Denver in Arapaho National Forest, and Kevin and James made it a little farther than me and Miranda and got to see St. Mary's Glacier.

Boulder, CO 2019

We stayed at an Airbnb in Denver, but we took a day trip to Boulder the first full day and walked around and then went on two small hikes.

Omaha Desert Dome- March 2019

Part of the Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo is the world's largest geodesic dome with a desert inside. No joke, it's really warm in there. It's actually three deserts with animals from three different parts of the world: Africa, Australia, and the southwestern United States. Under it is a huge nocturnal animals exhibit and it's pretty freaky in there. In any case, this warm location seemed like the perfect temporary cure for our neverending winter. We also got to watch a free Meerkat movie with our membership. Great way to spend a winter day.
