St. Patrick's Day 2009

During the day, I was able to catch some of the New York St. Patrick's Day parade during lunch. I really enjoyed it. Things are still mostly under control in the city early in the day, though I wouldn't advise people to stick around for the parade after-party.

In the evening, Kevin, Jon, James, and I grabbed a few Guinesses before heading off to bed. It's a school night!

My 30th Birthday in Brooklyn 2009

My birthday fell on Monday this year, so the Saturday before Kevin surprised me by affixing a ton of balloons to the ceiling. (Jon and Casey helped!)

Ash surprised me with a chocolate cake- yum!

Then Ash and Michele came over and we headed to dinner at a Thai place down the street. Kevin also had a surprise cake, but his candles focused on me celebrating my final moments of being 29.

Then I met up with a bunch of friends for drinks at Clover Club. That bar makes the best drinks. I especially love their sidecars. Yum.

Afterwards, I lured some people back to our apartment for cake, but actually no one ate any. So now I have two cakes to eat by myself. Haha.
