STEAM Night 2018

STEAM Night is Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics night with parents at James's school. James loved the kaleidoscope activity and kept making more viewing panels at home.

We visited Ash last weekend. Kevin and the kids stayed over night on Saturday, and then they went back without me on Sunday morning so I could stay another night while Ash and I got some additional bonding on. We all got to meet her new pet Rosie.

Miranda's Dance Class 2018

Miranda started dance classes! She's taking tap and ballet in the 3-4 age group. I am so excited. She got a little nervous in the days leading up to her first class but once she was dressed and there - she loved every minute of it!

Bomb Cyclone and Snow Days 2018

We knew the "Bomb Cyclone" was coming, so school was canceled for Thursday in advance. I didn't tell the kids though and told them they had to wear their pajamas inside-out and do a snow dance. And it worked! Too well, actually, because they had Thursday and Friday off. Very long weekend!

New Year's Eve 2017

For New Year's Eve, we did a countdown around 7 pm, drank sparkling apple cider, ate 12 grapes each for 12 lucky months in 2018 (Spanish tradition my family has followed a long time). Then we made smores in the fire place, a thing we did maybe too much in 2017. James performed many many magic shows for us. Here's hoping 2018 is much better than 2017.
