Nebraska City AppleJack Festival 2018

We went to the Nebraska City AppleJack Festival. Apparently, everyone in Nebraska goes because oh boy it was like being in New York again with parking. The festival takes place throughout Nebraska City at various locations, and we went to the downtown fair by the Missouri River and to one of the apple orchards.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo 2018

We are officially zoo members here! This is from our first visit! It's a really beautiful huge place and we can't wait to go back and explore the rest of it. James's favorite area was the insects, which I didn't get any pictures of this time- though we are pictured outside the insect building.

Thursday Date Night 2018

Miranda's Dance Class 2018-19

I thought getting Miranda signed up for dance class asap would help her keep some continuity after moving to Nebraska. At first, she insisted that it wouldn't be the same as her old dance class but once she actually went to her first class, she had a blast. Her class is amazing! Way more active than her last class and they're learning the real ballet and tap steps without any pressure to be perfect. I love it!

Platte River State Park 2018

Nebraska Day Trip! We went to the Platte River State Park in Louisville, Nebraska. As the name implies, it's right along the Platte River which intersects with the Missouri River.

School Carnival 2018

James's new school has a yearly carnival fundraiser. I'm not a big carnival person so I was sort of dreading it, but I loved how it everything was perfectly suited for little ones. The kids had a great time and I'm so pleasantly surprised! We also won a silent auction: James will be playing a board game with his teacher sometime soon!
