We finished decorating the nursery yesterday except that there are two pieces of wall art we're awaiting from Etsy.com. One is a huge whale wall decal and the other is a little steamboat painting. I also finished putting away the baby's clothing size newborn through 3 months. I hope he wears the newborn clothing at least once since he's already past 8 pounds. I keep walking in and just soaking it all up. I think I'm going to enjoy this room more than the baby.
When you walk in, the first thing you see is the crib.
Diaper changing station and chair opposite the crib
Moby and baby Moby
Book case and little dresser next to the door and closet
Peaking inside the closet
Drawer of newborn- 3 month infant bodysuits
P.S. One of the strange benefits of a blog is that I can go back in time and fill things in. This what the book case wall looked like after James came, May 2011-2013:
With whale art and the rocking chair from Sarah

Super cute!! I guess there was no April Fools baby....(although you still have four hours to make it happen!) The dark curtains are a great idea, btw.
I thought about telling everyone I was on the way to the hospital as the ultimate April Fool's joke but it seemed too mean. As for the curtains, I was going to try to match that dusty blue but my mother thought navy would look better, so we followed her advice and it looks great.
Looks great! I think the kid has more clothes than I do!
He does have a crazy amount of clothing, in part because my friend Victoria gave us her babies' hand-me-downs so we have lots of pajamas and onesies not seen at the shower. But it's also a little misleading because he has clothing in different sizes from newborn to 18 months.
when's the "due date"?
April 17th... but... I don't think we'll make it there.
Looks great - I'm so excited for you guys!
OMG! I love the little outfits hanging in the closet! So sweet. It is starting to get very *real* Pedro is on his way :)
It definitely feels real over here now!
