Aksarben Farmer's Market 2019

This was our first time at the Aksarben Farmer's Market together. Aksarben is a neighborhood in Omaha that used to be where the horse track was. "Aksarben" is just Nebraska written backward! So cheesy! The kids loved the donuts.

James's 2nd Grade Olympic Day 2019

James's school does an Olympic Day. Each classroom represents a country, and this year James's country is Brazil. The kids have an official-looking opening ceremony and then play games at various locations around the outside and inside of the school all day. At the end of the day, they have closing ceremonies. I was especially excited to hear them sing in Spanish during the closing ceremonies.

Dance Recital 2019

Miranda and James both took classes at dance studio this year. Miranda took a ballet and tap combo class, and James took an acrobatics class. Last weekend they performed in a huge recital! Miranda had two numbers complete with two different (expensive costumes) and James showed off his acrobatic skills in one number.

Miranda's Pre-K Field Trip to OCM - April 2019

Omaha MNHS Swim Class- Spring 2019

The kids finished up their second swimming class in Omaha! James was promoted from level 3 to level 4 this time, but he won't be taking any swimming classes this summer because his coding camp conflicts with swimming. Miranda will be in level 2 this summer. These photos are actually from their birthday last week, not from the last class this weekend.

Kindergarten Round-up 2019

Miranda had a practice day of Kindergarten last Friday, and I had ALL the feelings. I was surprised. I thought I would be immune since she's already been going to preschool, and I've gone through "first days" countless times with both kids. She had a great time though, and she's super excited to start Kindergarten! She thinks she starts next week, lol.
