Second Grade Open House 2018

Things are a little different at our new school. Instead of getting teacher assignments in the mail, we go to the school the week before to get the teacher assignment and then go to that classroom to meet the teacher and leave supplies.

Thankfully, there's no clip chart like in New York! It was used to keep track of who was good or bad every day and I was not a fan of that thing.

The library is so cool. It's open to the hallways and has space murals!

My First Car Ever 2018

I've had my driver's license since 2006, (I was 27 and living in Charlottesville), but this is my first car ever. A mom-mobile. I will be taking the kids to and from school.

We're Home! 2018

Closing was a breeze! It was everything that the New York closing was not. You know my favorite part of closing? No attorneys. Well, except me, but I can behave myself.

Made it to Omaha 2018!

We arrived in Omaha two days before our house closing so we stayed at a hotel with an indoor pool for the kids and started sight-seeing a little with them. We started at Spirit of Nebraska's Wilderness and Pioneer Courage Park. Seemed appropriate!

Iowa City 2018

Kevin went to graduate school at the Univerity of Iowa in Iowa City and though I've wanted to go see the city for years, this was my first opportunity to do so. Kevin showed me around his old stomping grounds, though we couldn't go drink at his favorite bars because ... kids.
